1. חברת מעונות סלאם בע"מ פעולת מזה כ-30 שנה בתחום של מענים לילדים ונוער וכן אוכלוסיות עם צרכים מיוחדים. לפני כשנתיים זכתה החברה במכרז של משרד הרווחה להפעלת מפעל מוגן רב נכותי בכפר קרע. בעבר מפעל זה הופעל על ידי הקרן למפעלי שיקום, וזכאי סל שיקום נהגו להשתלב בו לקבלת שירותי מפעל מוגן. 2. המפעל הינו מפעל מוגן רב נכותי המעניק שירותים לכל הישובים באזור ואדי ערה והסביבה. כיום ישנם כ-60 מקבלי שירות מהרוו
