1. משרד הבריאות מפעיל מזה מספר שנים את התוכנית הלאומית למעקב וטיפול במהגרים נשאי HIV ללא ביטוח רפואי פועל על פי חוזר מנכ"ל מס' 3/2014 ומס' 09/2016. התוכנית פועלת מסיבות הומניטריות, לצרכי הגנה על בריאות הציבור ומטעמי חיסכון כלכלי עתידי לכלל המערכת. 2. בעבר גם חברת GSK ייצרה ושיווקה את התרופה, בשנת 2020 התקבלה הודעה על הפסקת ייצור ושיווק של התרופה על ידי חברת התרופות GSK ומאז חברת טבע הינה חברת תרופ
