בהתאם להחלטה מספר 1857 של הממשלה מיום 11.08.2016 שינוי מבני בענף התקינה נושא התאמת התקנים הישראליים לתקינה הזרה נעשתה בדיקה מול גורמים וגופים ציבוריים רלוונטיים בענף הבניה בישראל לרבות התאחדות בוני הארץ,איגוד המהנדסים , המכון הלאומי לחקר הבניה, משרד הביטחון- אגף בינוי וכן משרדי ממשלה אחרים ועוד וזאת כדי לברר האם קיים גוף נוסף במדינת ישראל שיכול או אמון ליספק את השירותים הנדרשים בסעיפים כאמור בהחלט
