בכוונת נמל חדרה להעלות את הגוררת מאורה 1 על מבדוק במספנות ישראל לצורך טיפול חמש שנתי, לצורך בדיקה הנדסית ועבודות נרחבות בהתאם לדרישות רספן וחברת הסיווג לויידס. העבודות במספנות כוללות : עבודות מתכת, ניקוי וצביעה של תחתית גוף הגוררת מתחת ומעל המים, טיפול והחלפת פגושי חרטום, שיפוץ שסתומים , הגנה קטודית, תיקון כננת,טיפול במערכי הגרירה /עגינה בדיקת מדחפים והגאים .
