מערכת שער עולמי נמצאת בשלב פיילוט חובה ובדיקות קלה. המערכת רובה ככולה מבוססת תשתיות MICROSOFT. לאור חשיבות רצף השירות בסחר חוץ ולגודל המערכת החדשה יש סיכון טכנולוגי בהפעלת המערכת. על מנת לגדר את הסיכון הוחלט לבצע בחינה טכנולוגית של ארכיטקטורת המערכת ומימושה וכן הערכות לחוזה תמיכה של מיקרוסופט (פרמייר) המאפשר תמיכה מיידית ברמה גבוה במקרה של תקלות בתשתיות מיקרוסופט.
