בשנת 1998 נחתם הסכם בין משרד הבריאות וחברת דיגיטל (שלימים נמכרה לקומפאק ואחר כך לחברת HP ) לאספקה, הטמעה ותחזוקה של מערכות בתי החולים ובכלל זה מערכת מעבדות. חברת סופטוב סיפקה את מערכת המעבדות Autolims במסגרת פרויקט נמר . משרד הבריאות חתם הסכם עם HP להעברת אחריות על פרויקט הנמר להמשך פיתוח ותחזוקה עי צוות המשרד ועל כן נדרש המשרד להתקשר ישירות עם חברת סופטוב להמשך תחזוקת המערכת .
