לצורך עידוד הפעילות הספורטיבית, במשרדי הממשלה השונים מוקמות קבוצות ספורט בענפים השונים. פעילות זו, מנוהלת ומתופעלת באמצעות העמותה לספורט הפועל. לצורך רישום של עובדי נתיב לליגה במקומות העבודה לקבוצות הספורט לשנים 2023- 2024, מבקשת לאשר התקשרות עם ספק יחיד. העמותה לספורט (הפועל) הינה ההתאגדות היחידה לספורט למקומות עבודה. לא קיימת מסגרת אחרת / נוספת המארגנת את תחרויות הספורט במקומות העבודה בירושלים.
