לאורך השנים ממשל זמין רכש מארזי בליידים מתוצרת HP, אותם רכש באמצעות המכרז המרכזי. כיום נמצאים במחסני היחידה 14 מארזי בליידים ישנים מתוצרת HP אשר לא נמצאים בשימוש ולא ניתן לבצע עבורם רכש חדש במסגרת המכרז מרכזי.בהתאם ביצעה היחידה המקצועית מיפוי לרכיבי השרתים בכדי לבדוק כיצד ניתן להשמיש אותם במערכות הרוחביות שבארגון. היחידה המקצועית מצאה כי יש לרכוש עבורם שני רכיבים משלימים ( 14 כרטיסי רשת ו-12 מחברי
